Bedford Falls provides worry-free living to seniors in southern New Hampshire. This highly rated 84-apartment senior living facility was constructed to achieve LEED for Homes Platinum certification. To achieve this rating, complexity was added to the HVAC, plumbing and electrical system specifications. Included were high efficiency heating, cooling, and hot water equipment; heat recovery systems to reduce energy loss associated with ventilation; a passive system installed beneath the building to mitigate potential radon harm; a high-efficiency traction elevator; Energy Star/high efficiency commercial appliances; and other energy-sustaining criteria. Cornerstone was brought on to provide commissioning expertise during the initial design phases and worked with the Project Team through construction of the facility.
