The importance of APVs for BSL-3 or BSL-4 spaces is to ensure all the facilities containment systems are functioning as intended. This is done by conducting a comprehensive assessment of containment barriers, HVAC systems and other equipment within the space. The primary goal is safety for the laboratory personnel and the general public.
